Hot Scoop: Ranbir Kapoor And Yash Won’t Share Much Screen Time In Ramayana — Here’s Why

In one of the most anticipated mythological epics of modern Indian cinema, Ramayana, fans were thrilled to learn that Ranbir Kapoor and Yash would be portraying Lord Ram and Ravana, respectively. However, a new revelation has left many surprised — the two actors won’t be sharing much screen time in the film. But why?

“Their worlds remain apart, their stories unfolding in parallel until destiny brings them face-to-face.”

This creative choice is rooted deeply in the structure of the original Ramayana. Director Nitesh Tiwari is reportedly staying true to the epic’s narrative framework, where Lord Ram and Ravana’s paths only intersect during the latter part of the story — specifically during the climactic battle of good versus evil.

While Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram will follow a journey filled with devotion, righteousness, and personal trials, Yash’s Ravana will be developed in an entirely different narrative thread — focusing on power, intellect, and the grandeur of Lanka. Both storylines will unfold simultaneously but independently for the most part.

According to insiders, this deliberate separation in screen time serves two purposes. First, it builds anticipation for their final confrontation, making it more impactful. Second, it respects the integrity of each character’s arc, allowing both Ranbir and Yash to shine without overshadowing one another.

Moreover, Yash reportedly joined the project under the understanding that while his role might be limited in screen duration, it would hold immense power and weight — especially during the final act of the film.

So while fans might not get many shared scenes between these two powerhouse performers, they can expect fireworks when they finally do come face-to-face.

Ramayana is not just a film; it’s a cinematic journey — and in this journey, destiny ensures that even if their paths don’t cross often, the collision will be unforgettable.
